Overview
MSBAI is an AI virtual simulation platform that was built on React Native and the Python SDK. We started using GitLab for code management and deploying on Docker. Evelina was in charge of handling all dev day to day activities, doing task management on both ClickUp and GitLab, setting up testing, staging, live and dev environments, creating the CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, handling the capacity planning, doing the backlog grooming, launching and closing sprints, creating technical documentation, writing and recording SOPs and managing the R&D activities and the requirement gathering for new features and functionalities.
Challange
The biggest challenge was that there was no project management in place and the team was spending 20 hours and more per week in unproductive meetings.
The meetings became 15-minute standups and task management was fully automated between ClickUp and GitLab. After successfully creating and implementing all the process improvements, the engineering team’s performance improved greatly and we managed to complete the generation 2 MVP in only 8 months.
